Riverview Florida was voted as No.67 a Best Place to Live by CNNMoney.com. “Golf is big in Riverview, which boasts seven courses located less than 10 miles from the city's center. Golf not your thing? The Busch Gardens theme park and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are also in the area. Though the population in this bedroom community of Tampa has grown by nearly 60,000 between 2000 and 2010, Riverview has maintained a small-town feel. Moreover, the influx of people has given Riverview's housing market a boost. Local Realtors say it's now transitioning from a buyer's market to a seller's market” (CNNMoney.com).

Riverview also boast a new Sam’s Club, Marshall's, Starbucks, Panera Bread, bowling alley, and other popular small restaurants and convenience stores.  In addition, St. Joseph's Hospital- South is a new hospital to be completed in 2015 which will bring an additional boast to Riverview's economy. Moreover, the Hillsborough County Commission Chairman Ken Hagan reportedly confirmed for the The Tampa Tribune that online retailer Amazon has signed a deal to open a 1 million square-foot distribution center in Ruskin. “Amazon will be a part of the South Shore Corporate Park, a 1,000-acred, mixed-use project emphasizing the development of a uniquely compatible community of light industrial, residential and industrial uses. Located near State Road 674, the park is adjacent to Interstate 75 and the south county communities of Riverview, Ruskin, Apollo Beach and Sun City Center.”

Finally, waterfront property in Riverview is still reasonable in comparison to some other areas in Tampa Bay. You can still afford a 3,000 sq.ft. home with an acre lot in the $500k range. Check this Riverview waterfront home as an example: http://michaelvaldes.com/property/24-T2623195-6840-Valrie-Ln-Riverview-FL-33569 {mls: T2623195} When looking where to find your waterfront home Riverview might be at the front on your list since prices are yet affordable and some areas do not actually required Flood Insurance!
